Philanthropi Helps Employers Launch Employee Assistance Funds to Support Employees During Times of Financial Hardship

Today is #GivingTuesdayNow, a global day of giving and unity, created as an emergency response to the unprecedented needs caused by COVID-19. Philanthropi joins the millions of people who are uniting to drive generosity, citizen engagement, business and philanthropy activation, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world.

We encourage you to take action and support employees facing financial hardship by starting an Employee Assistance Fund. An Employee Assistance Fund is a program created to help relieve colleagues of unexpected financial hardship by distributing tax-exempt grants; composed of tax-deductible charitable contributions made by employers and individuals interested in supporting the Fund.

At a time when we are all experiencing the pandemic, generosity is what brings people of all races, faiths, and political views together across the globe. Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on. Whether you want to encourage charitable giving within your organization or align Corporate Social Responsibility programs with employee-driven causes and passions, we want to help you design the right program.

Reasons to Give in October

Our giving community thrives. The number of grants made to charities have steadily increased while the length of time monetary contributions stay in individual Impact Accounts has decreased. Our community is eager to give and continues to support charities that are creating social change.
